Our nutrition services are specifically designed to help you achieve and maintain optimal eating habits, manage specific
medical conditions, and make permanent lifestyle changes. Our registered
dietitians are here to help you identify your nutritional needs,
establish realistic goals, and implement your individualized nutrition
plan.
The Rite Bite Weight Management Program is a 6 month comprehensive system
that helps you gain the knowledge needed to maintain your healthy
weight and lifestyle habits. Throughout the program, you will receive weekly correspondance from a registered dietitian via email. The members only section of our website is filled with useful tools to help you achieve your goals. We give you the flexibility
to make your own choices based on your specific goals and preferences.
The Rite Bite focuses on choosing the “Rite” foods
in the “Rite” portions and no food groups are eliminated.
Our program is based on an accounting system we call The Rite
Bite Exchanges. This consists of a simplified food journal that
acts like a checking account. The
Rite Bite Checkbook was
created to help you make balanced choices. Just as people tend
to overspend
when they don’t keep track of expenses, the same holds true
with overeating. Debits (calories consumed) and Credits (activity)
are logged daily to give you a better picture of your eating
habits. This tool helps determine personal goals as well as track
overall
progress.
Medical Nutrition Therapy is the application of nutritional interventions
to help manage or prevent certain medical conditions. Many medical
conditions can occur due to stress and poor dietary habits. Chronic
health problems such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension can
be caused by poor food choices and lifestyle habits. Many of these
medical conditions can be managed, corrected or prevented through
nutrition and fitness interventions. Our highly qualified nutrition
experts will work with you individually to obtain lasting results.
Online medical nutrition therapy counseling can be conducted
via email or telephone after completing and submitting the The Rite Bite Virtual
Interview, which helps our staff establish a personalized nutrition
plan just for you. The initial nutritional assessment will consider
your medical history, laboratory values, and other nutrition related
information to help you set realistic goals and support you throughout
your journey to better health. We also believe strongly in working
with your physician to help monitor your progress. Specific conditions
that can be treated by medical nutrition therapy include: obesity,
high cholesterol, high triglycerides, diabetes, kidney disease,
cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and many others.
How do you know if you are eating a balanced diet? The Rite Bite
staff can analyze your typical diet and determine its nutritional
adequacy. Simply download our food diary and record what you eat for a minimum of 3 days
(including one weekend day) and we will compare your records
with over 100
nutrients to evaluate your food selections. You will receive
a detailed computer analysis of our findings along with
suggestions to improve your eating habits. Click on marketplace
for
details.
Have you ever wondered how many calories are in your favorite
family recipe? We can now analyze your recipes and create a “nutrition
fact” label - just like the one you see on food labels.
If you should decide your recipe needs a “makeover,” we
are here to help. Let us make suggestions on how to make your family
favorites more nutritious. Click on marketplace for details.
* Recipe makeovers are for nutritional enhancement and may slightly
alter the taste of your original recipe.
Rite Bite members will have access to our unique menu planning tools. Create your own meal plans using our interactive menu tool or purchase a 4 week meal plan by clicking on Marketplace.
